Storage Solutions For Your Cosmetics

Now, this is something that could be very useful!

I know this would never be large enough to store my ever increasing makeup collection (I have drawers for those) but think this is fantastic for housing my makeup brushes, so my tools are always at hand. I have also stored a few other skincare essentials as well.

Times Nine Burgundy Eyeshadow Palette: Mac

                     Mac-Times-Nine-Eyeshadow

Hello, beauties!

Today, I have something to share with you that I've been eyeing up for a little while now. Whenever I've had the opportunity to visit one of their counters or stores, their palettes often get missed as I'm always too busy getting carried away looking at the huge range of their single shadows.

Mac have a range of small compacts called Times Nine, which house 9 mini sizes of various shades and textures from a particular colour hue, with finishes that include frost, satin, matte, velvet and veluxe pearl. Other Times Nine compacts that are available are in the shades: Navy, Amber and Purple. I was gifted the Burgundy, but would've been more than happy with either of them as they are all very wearable shades.

Kiko Milano Nail Lacquer

Nail-Laquer

I first discovered Kiko many years ago during my days working opposite Lakeside shopping centre, and it was whilst taking a short cut through House of Fraser on my journey home, I noticed a small stash of discontinued items on one of the makeup counters. I nabbed a single eyeshadow as there wasn't much else left!

Laura Geller Balance n Brighten Foundation

Laura-Geller-Foundation-review

Hello, beauties!

For as long as I can remember, I've never really been entirely happy with liquid foundations, as they can emphasise my open pores, increase the look of my shiny T - Zone and feel tacky on the skin. Then I find that there are some matte formulas that can leave me with a chalky, flat look and can also be a struggle to blend, leaving the product sitting on my skin. I've never embraced my cool undertone much either as it can make me look tired and ill at times; a golden undertone is something I'd always admired. My pores are also beginning to sag with age now, making them more noticeable. I hate it, and feel quite self conscious about it.

Wet n Wild 8 Colour Icon Eye Palettes

Wet-n-Wild-Eyeshadow-Palette-Review

Hi, everyone!

Today's products are from drugstore brand Wet n Wild. A brand you wouldn't normally find in the UK, so you may not have heard of them, unless you've visited the States of course where they're sold.

I'd first heard of these palettes from Emily Eddington aka Beauty Broadcast on YouTube where she gave glowing reviews; so had me wishing we had access to this brand here. Wet n Wild have a range of eyeshadow palettes called Color Icon, which includes 4 x 8 Colour Icon palettes and 6 x smaller colour trios, with limited editions released regularly. I hear quite frequently that some of the shades make good dupes for some of the eye shadows from Mac.

Discovering Blusher From Milani

Milani-Baked-Blushers

Hello, beauties,

As we're now beginning to arrive into the depths of Winter and Spring is a little way off, I know, I thought we could all do with a bit of an uplift and enjoy some gorgeous warm shades to put some life back in our complexions.

You know, if it wasn't for the makeup vloggers, I would never have discovered this brand - YouTube has an awful lot to answer for! The Milani baked blushers had certainly made their debut a few years ago in quite a high number of tutorials, due to their glowy wash of colour. This is a brand that was originally from the States, (I'll be featuring a lot of these) that is becoming more widely available online over here. Whilst purchasing, I took the opportunity to grab 2 of the Rose blushers as well.

Most Unique Discovery 2015 : Duraline by Inglot

inglot duraline eyeshadow sealer review

Remember She-laq from Benefit?...of course you do. It worked as a sealer, right? You know, that was the only product that gave me a fighting chance of wearing eyeliner that stood in place. I still find it a bit of a mystery as to why they discontinued it. So after a few years of having to endure eye looks mimicking Alice Cooper, I managed to find a new discovery - Duraline by Inglot £8, which also transforms any shadow to a liquid liner and is waterproof. Have you heard of Inglot?
