Brush Essentials | My Latest Top 5 For The Eye

                   Eyeshadow-Brushes

Hi, everyone!

Up until my mid thirties, I'd never really used brushes that much as I never considered them necessary for basic everyday makeup. With so many different types to choose from, each created to do a specific job, I'd also lacked the knowledge and expertise when it came to application.

It just goes to show at no matter what age, it's never too late to learn!

So, over time, you could say I've accumulated a pretty decent amount, due to a never ending wish list.  And I have to say, these tools have proven to be the perfect assistance, in helping me achieve a more flawless finish to my look.

Spring Into Pink!

                 Spring-Makeup

Yes, Spring is finally upon us even though it's still pretty nippy out there. We have enjoyed some super Spring sunshine here on the East coast, but we just need those temperatures to slightly nudge towards more in the right direction.

I don't know about you? But I have been desperate to inject some cheerful colour into my makeup routine since the second half of Winter. At long last, I can move away from the dark and dreary colours and embrace some more brighter uplifting shades.

In the past, Pink was a shade that I wouldn't be seen dead in! And was a shade that would make me run to the hills. Why? Because the Pink of yesteryear was too bright, too Blue and far too unflattering for my complexion. Thank god things have changed!

Hidden Lost Gems That Needs To Be Loved Again | Lip Glosses

With the beauty industry updated continuously with the latest technology, innovations and trends, it's all so easy to forget about those once loved products we'd use and just couldn't live without. We all have those stashed at the bottom of the pile don't we? Those few lip glosses that we'd wear come rain or shine and would gasp or in my case hyperventilate at the slightest notion we should ever run out.

After having a little root around, I discovered some much-loved gems. I wonder if you shared the same love for these glosses too!

Radiance Reveal Concealer | Bourjois

                        Bourjois-Radiance-Reveal-Concealer

Bourjois has recently released a new line of moisturising concealers - Radiance Reveal Concealer, that aims to give radiance around the eye area whilst providing coverage from dark circles, imperfections and puffiness. The formula is enriched with Mont Blanc Glacier Water (hmm?and Hyaluronic Acid to infuse up to 24hr hydration and smooth away fine lines and wrinkles. Only 3 shades are available at the moment, so let's hope more will follow soon!

I've very much enjoyed using Bourjois over the years, a brand that is often mistaken for being owned by Chanel when it's actually the other way around. Their products have always performed well for the money you pay for and its because of this you do sometimes wonder if some of these formula's are discon lines from the huge designer brand.

Latest Buys You Must Try | Revlon

                       Revlon-Review

I'd be the first to admit, for many years I hadn't given Revlon the attention it deserved. Their makeup stand along with Max Factor never seemed to entice me, I have no idea why! My last purchase was a couple of their hugely popular lip balms. As for foundation...well, I don't think I've used one from them since the days of Cindy Crawford modelling for them.

I picked up a couple a products, as I heard so much buzz around their Colorstay foundations and was also intrigued to try their Ultimate All In One mascara due to the design of the tiny wand.

Flawless 32 Eyeshadow Palette | Makeup Revolution

                   makeup revolution flawless eyeshadow palette

After the disappointing experience involving their Iconic Redemption Romantic Smoked palette, I lived in hope that it were just a one off as I've heard nothing but praise in the blogosphere about these damn palettes (starting to feel left out here!)

On my last shopping trip, I totally got sucked in again whilst browsing the Makeup Revolution stand and found this lovely palette featuring an absolutely stunning shimmery Burgundy, and began to salivate! As with any Burgundy shade that comes my way, Cranberry from Mac instantly comes to mind which I love on view but don't own. Perhaps I should just bite the bullet and by it.

I also nabbed the palette Run Boy Run as this was on offer for £4, which I'm still having a play with.

Makeup Ramblings - Embracing The Highlighter

Highlighters have played a part in my makeup routine for a good few years now, as I adore how it gives the illusion of plumped youthful cheeks when married with a blusher. Originally began as trend has now become a regular importance in my makeup routine, just as much as applying mascara. I feel my makeup must've looked so dull and lifeless before discovering this amazing light.

Eyeshadow Palettes That I Should Love But Don't

I think you'd have to agree, we're all pretty guilty of having those palettes hidden in the back of the drawer that we never reach for.

There's nothing more disappointing than hunting down a hyped up product only to discover that it doesn't work for you. I'm sure we've all been there... right? Of course, there can be all kinds of reasons why this happens whether it's skin tone issues, suitability or product performance to just name a few.

So I thought I'd share with you a few of mine, however I'm delighted to say there's not that many.
