Currently Loving Products #4 featuring ABH, The Ordinary, Hourglass and more...

It's been far too long since I've published one of these, as the Summer proved I was enjoying way too many products to be able to fit them all in a one post. Now Autumns here, and things have calmed down a little, here are my latest loves that have made an impact this season.

The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2 % Peeling Solution : The game changer in my skincare routine

The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2 % Peeling Solution

I've been using Glycolic acids in the form of toners for quite sometime now, and have been left fairly impressed with the results they have given me. So when I heard about a higher strength formula from my favourite budget skincare brand The Ordinary, I became even more intrigued after hearing the amazing results people were receiving.

Autumn Eyeshadow Picks!

Eyeshadow Palettes that will provide Autumnal shades

Well it's that time again! New season meaning new colours to switch things up a little. Whilst I'm generally a wearer of all shades no matter what time of the year, they'll always be some that I'll gravitate towards more than others. These are some of my Autumnal picks that I'll be reaching for this season. A couple are some old favourites and some are fairly new.

Shadow Switch : What is it & do you need it?

Shadow Switch Makeup Brush Cleaner

Applying eyeshadow has never been quite the same since discovering Shadow Switch. We all have  brushes that we use more than others, which for some of us can often result in buying several of the same brush, just so there's always a clean one ready to go. But not everyone has the budget to buy a second or a third, nor have the patience to wait several hours for them to dry after we've washed them.

Those of you who may have heard of Vera Mona's Color Switch Sponge, you'll know it's a tool that allows you to switch eyeshadows without having to change brushes. Unfortunately, the price tag was a little off putting for just a sponge in a tin, (although I'm sure it's probably more than just that). So I began hunting around for a cheaper alternative.

Intrigued? Then read on...

Post Summer Glow with Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer

As my regular readers will know, the bronzer and I go back a long way. For me, it's an essential everyday product for warming up my neutral hue so it prevents me from looking tired and ill. All through summer, I have been loving the finish, the colour, the glow, everything from the marvel that came in the Ambient Lighting Surreal Palette. But after experiencing the frustration of having to squish the brush together in order to apply from the tiny pan of the bronzer (which I think resulted in hitting pan far sooner than I'd planned), I decided it was time I bought the full size.

Primark PS Beauty! Is it any good?

Primark PS Beauty Review

Primark PS Beauty Review

It seems times are changing when it comes to make-up sold in fashion stores. What with Top Shop, H&M, Next, New Look and even M&S's Autograph range, all at some point producing some gems, it seems we've entered a new era when it comes make-up sold alongside your smalls, unlike in my younger days when they was deemed pretty rubbish and worse than drugstore.

Lately, Primark has been another name that's cropped up a lot on the radar, as their range continues to grow and expand by the minute resulting with buyers bringing in a lot of hype. I became intrigued to see what all the fuss was about, and started to pick up some bits and pieces during the course of this year. I thought it would be a good idea to share these buys and translate my thoughts onto you good people....So, is Primark Beauty really all that?

I Finally Gave In! Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette By Anastasia Beverly Hills: Review & Swatches

Anastalia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette Review

After deciding to pass on what now seems to have become "Subculture gate" (oh the dramas!) I finally bought the "the other Sister"Modern Renaissance by ABH. Ever since its release just a little over a year ago, I convinced myself time and time again that I didn't need this palette. Why? To be honest, I have no idea. Although I initially shared some feeling over the higher price tag which is far more expensive than her other releases. Even the promise of a major upgrade to a more pro-formulation had failed to entice me. I was quite happy with the shadows from her past releases which I didn't think were that bad. I have some very old palettes. "She Wears It Well" was one of them (for those of you who are really hard core fans!) and remembered really enjoying  that one.

Capturing Ruth Mastenbroek's Latest Release - Firedance

Ruth Mastenbroek Firedance Fragrance
Photo above from Ruth Mastenbroek

Ruth Mastenbroek Firedance Fragrance

I've discovered some super fragrances during the course of this Summer, and have managed to gain some vials either through online or whilst shopping at the dept store. But it's always particularly lovely when you discover a niche brand as they tend to bring something a little different to the table. One that I've particularly enjoyed recently is Ruth Mastenbroek's Firedance.*

Unless you're a real fragrance connoisseur or share a love of niche brands, Ruth Mastenbroek may not be a familiar name to you. However, after starting her long career in perfume as an assistant manager in London's prestigious department store Selfridges, she then became the nose behind the many scents created for big names such as Kenneth Turner, fashion brand Jigsaw and of course, not forgetting the highly successful Jo Malone Grapefruit, which was loved so much by Jennifer Lopez, she ordered 300 candles for her hotel room. Ruth is also a former president for the British Perfumers Society, and if that wasn't enough under her belt, she has now created her her own signature line.

4 Bronzers That I Think Are Just Fab!

Bronzers from Too Faced, Benefit, Becca and Hourglass

Ever since from the age of 14, a bronzer has played a massive part in my makeup routine, with the Coty Sun Shimmer Bronzer (now Rimmel) being my very first purchase and was used throughout my teenage years.  Since then, I've  discovered many, many others including The Balm's Bahama Mama which made it's presence on the dressing table for the last couple of years (that's such a great bronzer!) However, looking back, you can bet your life some of those Bronzers had left me looking like I'd been tangoed! Haha! Luckily, we're now left with some fantastic choices which means I want to try more!

Where is Pore? Discovering Caolion Pore Tightening Day & Night Glowing Duo

Caolion Pore Tightening Day and Night Glowing Duo

My early years of dealing with oily/combination skin often resulted in comments stating that I should consider myself lucky and that wrinkles will came far later than our dry skinned sisters - which to a certain extent has rung true! But what they didn't tell me is that as my skin ages, the pores from those oily patches just get bigger and bigger, leaving me with that stretched, saggy, orange-peel-look due the skin's loss of firmness and structure.

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer: Is it Really The Bee's Knees?

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer

Once in while, a product comes a long that everyone loses their shit over (excuse my French!). This time, it's Tarte Shape Tape!  I haven't heard this much buzz over a concealer since Mac's Prolong Wear during the early years of YouTube (which use to be an old favourite of mine) along with the later release of the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. According to the website from Tarte, a tube of Shape Tape is sold every 26 SECONDS!!! But like with a lot of these hyped up products, this soon went out of stock before I had the chance to say "dark circles!" Our only UK Tarte distributor is QVCUK.

Discovering Super Affordable Skincare From Balance Active Formula*

Anti-Ageing Formulas From Balance Active Formula Skincare

Anti-ageing products can be a challenging task choosing which ones are suitable for each specific skin type or problem. And it isn't cheap either! As some can be so expensive it's enough to give your bank balance a heart attack! Pretty packaging can have its virtue too, luring you in along with their fancy claims has often left me disappointed.  Balance Active Formula understands the needs of providing affordable skincare whilst on a budget, by ditching the fancy packaging and concentrating on the important part - the ingredients! The low cost brand has developed various award winning ranges formulated with clinically proven active ingredients to minimise the signs of ageing. And they're paraben free too!

My Bullet-proof Summer Base For Special Occasions

My Bullet-Proof Summer Makeup

If you live in ole "Blighty" you'll know how unpredictable the weather can be at times and the Summer season shares no exception to the rule as it can be mild one minute and absolutely boiling hot the next! So for general wear, I find I have to own several different foundations to adapt to the ever changing temperatures to avoid my makeup slipping off and ensure my skin still feels comfortable during the process.

However, when it's really hot, the last I want to do is plaster myself in makeup. But unfortunately, there are times when that's just not possible - especially when you have a wedding or party to go to where the requirement of makeup needs to be a tad more full-on than normal.

Cleansers on Rotation

          6 great wash-off cleansers

During my time beavering away in this far corner of the internet, I seem to have grown much affection for the humble cleanser  - wash-off cleansers that is! And have accumulated quite a few since discovering the importance for double-cleansing for the removal of SPF that are featured in many products these days and also makeup which have become far more long-wearing than they used to be. I love having them in a row so I can pick and choose which one I'm going to use for the evening or for that quick freshen-up in the mornings. These ones I'll be sharing with you today are the ones I gravitate towards the most for the removal of make-up or for assisting for that double-cleanse experience.

Sukin Revitalising Facial Scrub

Sukin was a brand I hadn't taken much notice of despite seeing the odd item pop up in TK Maxx stores. But it wasn't until they began cropping up all over Instagram and then soon after their release in Boots that I became intrigued and decided to try one their products.

Brought to us from down under, Sukin has fast become Australia's No1 organic natural skin care brand after identifying there was a gap in the market for high efficiently and environmentally sustainable products that needn't cost the earth; - covering hair, face and body that can be enjoyed by all regardless of age. These products contain only naturally derived ingredients, so there are no nasties, no parabens and no suphates. They are also vegan-friendly and cruelty-free. Their main website contains  the listings and details of all the ingredients that are featured in their products. I have enclosed a link should you wish to find out more.

Latest Drugstore Buys : Lips

Call the Shots, Fiery Fuchsia and Bear Hug

"Brights don't suit me!" would be a cry regularly heard from yours truly whenever I hit the makeup counter, leaving every assistant opened mouthed and looking perplexed! "REALLY? But you're dark!" they'd all reply! Often referring to the dark hair and also the olive toned complexion they seem to see which I don't. So after hearing the same response for the umpteenth time (this time from a consultant from Clarins) I decided to bite the bullet whilst it's Summer and play around with some brights; which to be honest, I was getting quite bored of nudes anyway! (who'd have thought?)

The Ordinary Coverage Foundation Review

Never before have I witness such a long waiting list for a makeup item such as this one! It seems everyone and their nan has been eagerly waiting with anticipation since the launch of these Serum and Coverage foundations from The Ordinary. It's been crazy!

You may remember me already receiving and loving the Serum foundation - review here if you want to find out more - which I originally ordered the same time as the Coverage foundation way back in the beginning of May. Well the Coverage foundation has finally arrived, and I've been trialling it for a couple of weeks now. It's time to share my thoughts. (Spoiler alert!) One thing I will say is this foundation really had me scratching at the head!

Skincare Empties #4 : Quick Reviews Featuring The Ordinary, Garnier, TonyMoly, Origins and More...

Despite enjoy reading everybody else's,  I hate writing empties posts! Fortunately, I see how the positives can out-way the negatives when it comes to putting these together. However, for me, the negatives are the photos - MY PHOTOS! As they always tend to look like garbage due to the overcrowdedness of all those products; the packets and cut-opened tubes - not exactly atheistically pleasing, is it? Writing about them becomes that bit more hard work as well  because the moment's gone and you want to talk about something shiny and new instead!

But despite these thoughts, empties posts are surprisingly popular amongst enthusiasts because it brings confidence and reassurance to the reader knowing they've used an entire product and gives  a much more thorough insight as to what you might expect! Plus, there could be other things that may have gone missed or has changed since that first initial review.

And there is a lot to get through! So, these are going to be very speedy! Are we ready?...

Protect Kids from top to toe this summer with Nivea & Eucerin Sun Care*.

KIds Sun Care from Nivea & Eucerin

Kids and sun cream...if they had their way, the two shall never meet! Having children myself, I know all too well the importance of keeping our little ones safe whilst in the sun. But unfortunately, kids just don't see it that way, and the battles with my two were never in short supply because they hated the thick, greasy and icky feeling that many sun creams provide; and who can blame them as some are indeed horrible! However, since discovering these from the drugstore favourites, I've been able to finally say goodbye to those daily battles and keep my kids protected from top to toe with a little help from Nivea & Eucerin.

Nivea brings the fun back into  application with their kid-friendly  roll-on  and trigger spray  application to make life that bit easier for everyone; along with their non-sticky, fast absorbing but  deeply moisturising formulas that's specially formulated for children's delicate skin. These contain highly effective UVA/UVB filters for immediate protection and is also water resistant which makes them perfect for fun in the water!

3 Brilliant Eyeshadow Brushes That Make a Difference!

If someone were to ask me what are the most popular eyeshadow brushes that makeup users apply,  I'd have to say it'd probably be a flat shader, a fluffy crease brush and an angled liner. And let's face it - having these has you pretty much covered when it comes to creating any eye look. But there are others that I've discovered that I'd now be totally lost if I didn't have. Today, I'm sharing you 3 of my most favourite brushes for those specific jobs when a crease or a flat shader just won't do! I agree these may not be the most prettiest brushes to look at as you can see they've been very well loved! I find these to be brilliant for either multi-tasking or for taking a specific job to the next level.

If you've not heard of Carli Bybel then where have you been? She is a beauty vlogger who regularly shares makeup skills on her YouTube channel and also runs a successful beauty blog called the beautybybel. In 2016, she collaborated with US budget brand, Bh Cosmetics to create this stunning limited edition palette - Carli Bybel 14 Colour Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette containing a very flattering mixture of universal shades, ranging from Golds, Bronzes, to Dusty Roses and Plums.

Tanya Burr My Escape Eye Palette | Review & Swatches

Tanya Burr My Escape Eyeshadow Palette

To kick off the Summer season, YouTube vlogger Tanya Burr has released a new collection to her makeup range called Neutral Ambience. The Summer release sees two new eyeshadow palettes: a khaki based quad called My Escape, and an inspired Rose Gold sunset called My Paradise. The collection also features two new lip shades: Bear Hug - a Peachy Nude (I'm debating on that one) and Sunday Walk - a Rose Pink.

I admit, other than watch the odd makeup tutorial, I'm not really a follower of Tanya Burr (it's mainly the young that follow her) but I do follow her Sisters in-law, Pixiwoo - and it wasn't until I watched one half of the duo (Sam) create a khaki themed look using the My Escape eye palette, was then  inspired to make a purchase. Performance wise, I wasn't sure what to expect as I've heard a lot of mixed reviews with regards to her products. But considering it only cost £ 5.99, I wasn't that worried.

Hourglass | Ambient Lighting Edit Palette - Surreal Light : Review and Swatches

The Ambient Lighting Edit Palette in Surreal Light is probably the most expensive makeup product I own, and one that had my husband witness me lose all sense over when I politely asked for his assistance in purchasing this (in other words, his wallet!) last Christmas (yes, that long ago!) For as long as I can remember, I'd read nothing but people raving about Hourglass. So when they released this limited edition, I thought it'd be a great way to try a variety of different products and see what all the fuss was about. Unfortunately, unlike other fans of Hourglass, for me, my love affair with this palette proved no easy ride due to the timing of this rather warmed toned, summer-esque compact was released (in the middle of British Winter); and other than the odd outing, it had pretty much been sitting left redundant in my drawer - until recently.

Latest in Skincare: featuring Bravura, Dior and more!

Skincrae Products From Bravura, Nivea, Dior & Judith Willams

When it comes to skincare, I'm not one to have oodles of products piled high like I do with my makeup. I don't always have the budget to try them willy, nilly in-order to find that miracle product, and even if I did, I think I'd still be quite happy to carry on using a product until I've reached the end of its life before picking up another one.

I'd recently come to the end of my humongous pot (150m!!!) of Rich Rose Face Cream by Judith Williams (which isn't as rich as it sounds, but in a good way) and thought now Summer is upon us, I need to start wearing something that bit more lightweight to beat the heat!

Two Mascaras, Two Reviews! : L'Oréal Telescopic Mascara & Miss Baby Roll Mega Volume Mascara

If you been following me for a while, you will know I've become totally obsessed with the L'Oréal False Lash Sculpt mascara. This isn't the first one I've loved from the brand, Miss Manga used to be another favourite. I've tried a fair few in my time, and I think out of all of the drugstore brands, L'Oreal comes top for being pretty consistent in the volume and length department (just don't bother with the Million Volume in the waterproof version).

So, when they introduced their latest edition, Miss Baby Roll Mega Volume Mascara, I decided to buy it because of the similarities in the design of the tube to the Miss Manga. Apart from Black, they also feature some really fun shades that I think are well fitting for the Summer months: Indigo, Lilac and Teal. I finished up opting for the Black waterproof version (BORING!). Although now Summers fast approaching, I might just go back and grab the Indigo to jazz things up a bit. Or shall I go for the Lilac? Hmm!...decisions, decisions!

I took advantage of the 3 for 2 offer that was on at Superdrug, which gave me the opportunity to pick up another False Lash Sculpt and to try their Telescopic one too.

So,with that in mind, I thought it was really important to feature this excellent cause - National Smile Month - which is the UK’s largest and longest-running campaign to promote good oral health. Between the 15th May - 15th June, we are encouraged to become more aware of oral health issues such a mouth cancer as well as improve the general health of our teeth. Rediscovering Metallics : Which One Wore Best?

Metallic Liquid Lipsticks : Which One Is Best?

The metallic lip trend has been back with us for a quite a while now. A trend that I embraced with open arms way back in the late eighties (really showing my age now) sharing fond memories of the pink-y bronzed lipstick from Lancome that I repurchased about 3 times, before it was finally discontinued (I was hooked!) Whilst I don't remember that metallic effect being quite as full-on as we've seen of late, I've always had a bit of a soft spot for that reflective pout; as my one minute warm, the other minute cool undertone proved, and still is, quite difficult when it comes to choosing shades. So, for a very long time and pretty much up until the introduction of the nudes, that pearlescent glow, preferably from a Bronze or Gold, was always a staple in my lip wardrobe to provide that extra plumpness!

Unfortunately, with the looming celebration of entering the mid-forties, left me unsure as to whether I could still pull this off.  But the shades I'll be sharing with you today proved too gorgeous to just walk away, and ended up with 3; one from Makeup Revolution; one from ColourPop and the other from Gerard Cosmetics.

Make-up Tip: 6 Ways to Prevent Your Mascara From Clumping!

How To Prevent Your Mascara From Clumping

One of the bugbears of applying mascara is that it doesn't take much for your lashes to end up in a clumpy mess. When this happens, we often feel it's a sign that the formula has dried-out and it's time to replace it with a new one. But as you and I know, this isn't always the case is it? So, what do we do? We often blame the formula, don't we?! Although some just suck no matter what you do! Now before we begin, I just want to add that I don't consider myself an expert when it comes to applying mascaras (no way!) But what I do have is a few little tricks that I've picked up over the years that have worked for me in preventing gloopy lashes. Have you tried any of these?

Becca Sunchaser Palette : Review & swatches

Becca Sunchaser Palette

It's been a while since I've dedicated a whole post on one item, and what a treat it is to be able to share with you one from Becca; their latest offering for the Summer - The Sunchaser Palette.

The Sunchaser Palette is a beach-inspired trio of shades that's been created to give you that effortless sunkissed, back-from-the-beach look. It contains a blusher, bronzer and a highlighter which can be used alone or layered to provide much-needed assistance to any sun-starved skin. We also see two new shades in this compact: Ipanema Sunset - a warm-toned Sunlit Bronzer, and Apricot Blossom Mineral Blush - a matte peachy coral.

The Sunchaser Palette is a limited edition and is priced at £32.00. In the U.K. it's only available whilst stocks last from beauty website Cult Beauty. In the US, you can purchase this direct from Becca, Ulta and other Becca stockists.

Becca Sunchaser Palette

The packaging and formula

The compact itself is styled in that exactly same gorgeous sleek design as their other palette Blushed with Light. I absolutely adore that palette and despite its high usage it looks as though I've hardly made a dent in it, these babies last! The design on the lid from the Sunchaser Palette shares a gradual radiant effect that mimics the shades that are housed inside the compact. Enclosed there is a large mirror so you can apply with ease no matter where you are; whether your in San Tropez or the Seychelles (let's pretend shall we?) The texture from the shades give that usual irresistible soft creamy powder that's smooth and blend-able - something we've become to know and love from Becca.

Becca Sunchaser Palette
Becca Sunchaser Palette

The shades

As I've just mentioned, the face palette comes in three shades. We have....

Sunlit Bronzer - Ipanema Sunset:

Ipanema Sunset is described as a medium Auburn Brown. This is a warm-toned bronzer that features their iconic shimmering  skin perfector to give a subtle satin hue to the finish. For all you lighter skin folk, you may need to watch your application with this one as I feel this shade may be better suited for medium or tanned skin tones. For very pale? I think this will be too warm for you. It's very pigmented, so a light hand is required but blends nicely with very little effort, and adds warmth to my skin in no time at all.

I just lightly apply with a large brush to prevent going overboard and looking too dark. I was a little concerned this may apply too Orange but it doesn't. It adds a nice amount of warmth that works in harmony with my cool-ish undertone. However, for those of you that like to use bronzers for contouring, this shade isn't really suitable for this.

Mineral Blush  - Apricot Blossom

You'd be forgiven for thinking this looks very similar to their Flowerchild blush from the Jaclyn Hill Splits Collection and you'd be right, they do share some similarities, except this has a slightly more warmer peachier tone than the satin pink-y hue from Flowerchild. But nevertheless, it's still a gorgeous shade and is what drew me to this palette in the first place.

These mineral blushers from Becca are enriched with micro-fine minerals and antioxidant vitamins to achieve a natural looking flush of colour. The blush is build-able and blends nicely with the bronzer, and together they translate that  just-caught-the-sun look on my skin. Throw Opal in the mix to complete a natural multi- dimensional glow.

Shimmering Skin Perfector Highlighter - Opal

I've yet to experience the shade Opal, which is another reason why I bought this palette. The only other highlighter shade I own from Becca is Champagne Pop. Opal is their best-seller as it's the most universal shade out of their entire highlighter range due its skin suitability with all skin tones because despite being golden it's less Yellow and gives off a slightly more neutral tone to the shade.

The formula comes with their iconic Becca technology that gives that light-reflected pearl without that obvious shimmer. I always think it brings an expensive look to the skin. Opal suits my undertone perfectly and performs this stunning transparent sheen that mimics the natural oils of my skin. I've seen this on deeper skin tones and my goodness it looks amazing!

Below are swatches from the Sunchaser Palette. The camera didn't pick up as much as I'd hoped, but trust me, these are pigmented.

This is a really lovely addition for any Becca fan or for someone wants to consolidate 3 products in one palette for that fuss-free application. This'll be perfect to take on holiday for that lighter travelling or a great option to have for the dressing table. As I mentioned earlier, I adore my Blushed with Light Palette, so when I caught wind that they were to release another one, I knew I couldn't resist. Overall it's a very beautiful palette that shares great pigmentation with formulas that will last. Despite the topsy-turvy weather of late, I've been enjoying this nearly everyday since receiving this and has given my Winter ravaged complexion some much needed lift to make it look more alive and awake. When all three shades are applied, this gives me that natural bronzed glow that leaves me no requirement to be chasing the Sun. In fact, I'd rather fake it! For those lazy days, I've been loving the combination of Ipanema Sunset with Opal to give just a wash of bronze colour across the eye. And my goodness, Opal looks stunning on the eye!

Will I be chasing another Becca palette? Yes I'll probably will as these slim and sleek compacts are fast becoming one of my favourite items out of my whole collection. Now it's over to you.

Will you be purchasing the Sunchaser Palette this Summer? What are your favourites from Becca?

A chatty Post! Makeup - Is a High-End Stash Always More Satisfying?

Sometimes, you just want to write about something and immediately hit the publish button. Today's post is about something that's been on my mind a lot when it's comes to luxury makeup and my attitude towards it, more so since started I blogging. This was only put together a few hours ago; so apologies if I ramble on a little and not make much sense. I suppose that's one of the perils of publishing without giving it a second thought. So here goes...

Product Empties : Make-Up! Featuring Anastasia Beverly Hills, Tarte, Too Faced and More!

Makeup Review featuring Mascara, Primer and Brow Products

I can guarantee there won't be many of these!

I tend to get through skincare far more quicker than makeup as I don't possess that many products within my stash, which means the same ole products gets used day after day. Also, when you reach my age, skincare becomes a much more trickier and a more expensive process when finding the right product. Also, when it comes to finding the next quick fix, I'd much rather get it from something like a lipstick rather than a jar of cream. The only unfortunate thing about makeup is that you're being constantly bombarded with the next-best-thing as all it does is encourage me to create this huge wall of makeup. So, it's hardly surprising that I don't get to finish much of these. But, when they do, they should feel honoured! It turned out most are mainly eye products that I've enjoyed - unfortunately for some I won't be choosing to repurchase in the near future.

Currently Loving For The Shower & Bath

Bath Products featuring Nivea, Liz Earle, Elemis & Soap & Glory

There was a time when the only shower product I'd have in possession was a "pound jobbie" from the supermarket, which is fine and there is nothing wrong with that, but I was finding I was getting so bored using the same scent day after day and wished I had some added variety to switch things around a little. Plus, it's always nice to have a couple that you can turn to for special occasions or for those pampering moments when you just want to indulge and unwind with something a bit more luxurious!

Today, I'm sharing with you some that I'm currently enjoying for everyday showering and for relaxing whilst in the bath.

Latest Skincare Review featuring The Ordinary | Plus: Is there an alternative to the Pixi Glow Tonic?

Skincare from The Ordinary

Whenever I receive a newsletter from Gill from Victoria Health, (I highly recommend that you subscribe!) I always know that it's going to feature some exciting new products from a brand that's blown everything out of the water. Deciem brand, The Ordinary, shows no sign of slowing down on what has been an incredible journey for them and indeed for us who can finally have access to the latest "must have" ingredients in order for our skins to look better.

If you haven't yet heard from all the "fanfare" that's been surrounding this brand, then all I can say is for the past 6 months you must have been living on the moon. The Ordinary is a skincare brand that produces clinical formulations with integrity by revealing their true cost. This changes the way we access these effective, ingredients that are generally only found in high-end products. The only unfortunate thing for me is the bonkers price tag which has done nothing but encouraged me to try a heck of a lot! So far, I've enjoyed quite a few, and hope at some point will be able to cherry pick the best ones that's worked for me and feature them in a future post.

Charlotte Tilbury | Hot Lips in Super Cindy

Charlotte Tilbury Super Cindy

I don't know about you, but all this noise about Pillow Talk is enough to send me to sleep! (Terrible joke I know!) Of, course I'm only kidding! It's was the only thing I could think of to open up this post.

Too Faced | Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette : Review & Swatches

Do we honestly need a another review on this palette? Probably not. As by now, you're probably sick of the sight of the Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow palette and reading its millionth review.
But, considering it's become the most hyped up product since the release of the Naked Palette and the ABH Modern Renaissance and Too Faced is one of my all time favourite brands, it'd be criminal not to feature it on my blog. So, I thought I'd throw in my two pennies worth, and here we are!

Currently Loving #2 featuring ColourPop, Primark Beauty, It Cosmetics and more...

It was back in January that I decided to start writing a currently loving type of post rather than share a monthly faves, which has given me the chance to genuinely see which ones I've been reaching for the most. Since then, I've received some new bits that I've also enjoyed and thought it was about time I shared these latest loves.

Simple Ways To Perk Up Your Make Up Look For Spring

Spring Makeup

Today is officially the first day of Spring! I love Spring because apart from moving away from the dark and dreary colours of Winter which often make it feel a lot more colder than it is, for me it's a time to inject some fun with my makeup and get a little bit more creative with new colours that reflect the change in season. During the Winter months, I tend to keep things a little quite with regards to colour preferring neutrals as a first choice most of the time. But once Spring has finally sprung I instantly gravitate towards the pretty hues of Peachy Corals and Soft Pinks as these really uplift my mood after the bleakness of Winter. But not only do I think this is the perfect excuse for switching up my makeup look, it's also prevents me getting into a rut using the same ole products day after day.
